Micro mini frankensets, 1st of a semi regular subset series.

You can make a frankenset out of any theme that tickles your fancy.  I tend to notice odd things when I'm knee deep in a pile of cards. I don't know how I do this.  I'll be flipping thru a pile of cards and one will stop me and I don't necessarily know why. Sometimes I scroll back a few dozen cards and find the connection.  Others I just toss it aside and at some point later the connection card comes up.  I can't tell you how I ended up with 3 cards or more.  It's like they have always been connected and magically appeared in my collection having always been so.

These are mini frankensets with only a few cards that make an odd set together.  Sometimes it can be a mini set within a year like this topps 1993 set.  First up is Junior Felix.  But I thought he was an outfielder so why is Junior catching?

Well, you are not wrong because Junior Ortiz is a catcher.  They cropped the shot to make sure you can see the dirt and Ortiz standing over the plate. Youll notice the ball is clearly beating the player home, is that a 3?
Yes, it is a 3 and that's Gary Gaetti about to be tagged out.  Not even close.  You'll noticed that they cropped this one a little higher and layed the name plate across the dish.  It makes for an exciting card for Gary even if he was put out.
These were all taken within minutes, nay, seconds of each other.  you can see the guy in the checkered shirt with kid in a blue shirt over the dugout to the right

Here's a quicky Micro mini set: The ball is just not thrown hard enough to get to Alvaro before those little fingers have tickled the base.  No matter how fast you sweep your arm down...

...Rickey is in there safe.
